Lesson 2: I Am ...

Objective: Learn to read and write "I Am" sentences.

Key Words

  • わたし = I, me

    [watashi]

  • 1 = (subject marker)

    [wa]1

  • です2 = (sentence marker)

    [desu]2

1 - When は appears after a subject,it's pronounced wa.

2 - Note about です: usually this word is pronounced dess, rhyming with the English word less.

Grammar
