久しぶりです。
If you've been here before, you might notice things look different. Good. That's on purpose.
Mainichi started over ten years ago as a small 考え: help people learn to read and write hiragana and katakana, for free. I put it online and forgot about it, honestly. But people kept showing up.
毎日 means "every day." That was always the philosophy. Not cramming. Not grinding. Just a little bit, every day. I still believe in that.
So I recently started building fun new tools around that same idea. AI has unlocked my ability to build software and I'm using that to explore ideas I've had for years.
First up: a Chrome extension that puts vocabulary flashcards in a side panel and new tab, so you're picking up ことば every time you open your browser. I'm also testing the first in a series of word games.
Right now I'm using these myself — making sure they work well enough for me before inviting anyone else in. Small, useful things that fit into your life without asking you to rearrange it.
If you're curious what's 次, please sign up below — I'd love to have you along.
